Thanks to the NC Grass Roots Grant and Pitt County Arts Council, FCAC is delighted to present “Music & More N May”, a music series that begins Monday, May 17 at 7 pm on the Farmville Community Arts Council Facebook Page.

The first performance will be by Lee Venters on drums with Ross Brown on congas; they will join us from Key West, Florida. 

Originally from east North Carolina, Lee Venters has been a professional drummer for over four decades, and has performed or recorded with some of the industry’s finest musicians. As a respected clinician with Sabian Cymbals, Vic Firth Drumsticks and Mallets, and Attack, Lee has recorded or performed with : guitarist Jimmy Herring- (Wide Spread Panic, Aquarium Rescue Unit), bassist- Oteil Burbridge- (Allman Brothers, AquariumRescue Unit), guitarist- Dean Brown (Marcus Miller, Roberta Flack, David Sanborn, Steve Smith, bassist- Baron Browne ( Jean Luc Ponty, Steve Smith Vital Information), keyboards- Gerry Etkins -(Jay Leno Show, Kevin Eubanks) Kevin Eubanks- (Jay Leno Music Director),Victor Bailey- (Weather Report, Madonna), saxophonist- Eric Marienthal ( Chick Corea), bassist Jimmy Earl- ( Chick Corea, Jimmy Kimmell Show, Frank Gambale) Aquarium Rescue Unit, Trumpet and flugelhorn artist- Tony Guererro , keyboards- Gregg Karukas and many more.

Ross Brown is a musician currently home-based, living and working in Key West, FL. Ross’ primary instruments are guitar, percussion and voice. 

Originally from the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, Ross was raised on Blues, Classic Rock, Funk and R&B. Ross grew up in Allentown, playing in original alternative hard rock bands “Aixelsyd” and “Pendulum” and cutting his teeth with his father’s blues band “Kosmic Blue”, going to blues jams and taking lessons.
