The Farmville Public Library, in partnership with the H.B. Sugg Charitable Organization and The Farmville Community Arts Council is sponsoring an online screening of the virtual play A WOMAN CALLED TRUTH.

The play will be streamed on Saturday, Feb 6 at 7pm.

There is no cost to view the play but PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER NO LATER THAN FEB. 5.

“A Woman Called Truth” was written by Sandra Fenichel Asher and performed by East Carolina University Storybook Theatre students. Suitable for family-viewing (with study guides for students in 4th/5th grade as well as middle/high school), the play combines the actual words of Sojourner Truth with authentic slave songs, spirituals and folk songs.

Prior to the performance those registered will receive a code and access instructions to view “A Woman Called Truth”.
